Humanities This Term!

This term in humanities we have been working on a geography project. I have teamed up with Emily and we made a booklet and documentary on the helmeted honeyeater. We worked very hard on the booklet and finished off the documentary a couple of nights ago and presented it today.

I thought that most people liked it and lots of people had a good laugh which I thought was even better. I think they liked the bloopers the best because we tried to make them as funny as we could.  I think it worked out all right!

Roman Web Sites

In humanities we looked for a site involving Roman History. I found this site, it has all sorts of things and it’s for kids as well as adults. This site has things like what food they ate and what clothing they wore  also what language they spoke. I think this site is a very good one and I suggest that you have a look at it and see what you can find and you might learn something along the way.  http://www.historyforkids.org/learn/romans/

Acient civilisations

In humanities we made a table and looked at some Acient civilisation websites.One of the colems was ‘what type of info’ the website gave me. Some of them had Lists,maps,pictures,and also timelines. There was another colem called ‘User Friendly’ which we had to write whether it was user friendly or not. We had to evaluate 4 websites and also find 1 ourselves to evaluate. I learnt alot on the computer and also alot on Acient Civilisations.

My First Term In Humanities

In my first term in Humanities I have had a lots of discussions with my class. One of the discussions that have come up in the class was about a timeline that we were going to make. I have learnt about the Olmec and how arciologistsdisscoverd them. I’ve found interesting how the layers in the ground show how old something is and if it’s deeper in the ground the older it is. I coped very well with the work I’ve done, I have neally finished everything that the teacher has handed out to me. Next term I will try harder and when I finish my work I will revise what I have done and try to make it better.

Hello Everyone

I haven’t studied history very much. The only time I have studied history is when I was in school. I also learnt about history from my ansesters being in wars and the navy. I have listend to stories about the navy and it was very interesting. I think I will learn more in school about history and I am looking forward to learning more.
